Prevent Safeguarding Lead

The Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust provides multi-disciplinary clinical services for adults, adolescents and children and their families, and post-graduate training for a wide range of care givers in the field of mental health.

This safeguarding lead role is a part time single session clinical post which requires a clinician with safeguarding experience to work across all sections of the Trust to implement the Prevent duty. The post holder is required to manage all aspects of Prevent including training all relevant staff, responding to information sharing requests from our local Prevent partners, providing quarterly external reporting for the national data sets to the regulatory body and internal reports required for the Safeguarding Committee and Trust Board. The post holder will also be required to attend the local Channel panel meetings on a monthly basis to provide clinical expertise and advice on any cases being addressed in panel.
