Senior Lecturer in Organisational Consultancy

Course Lead: Professional Doctorate in Consulting to Organisations

and Tavistock Qualification in Consulting to Organisations.


Band 8b AfC: £59,083 to £67,760 pro rata inclusive of HCAS

Part time 11.25 hours per week (3 Sessions)



This is an exciting role for an experienced organisational consultant, leading on the development and delivery of the Tavistock Professional Doctorate and Tavistock Qualification in Consulting. These programmes offer an advanced education in organisational consultancy using a systems psychodynamic approach. The doctorate programme additionally equips students with the skills to carry out a piece of original research and contribute to the knowledge base in the field. The post holder will work closely with other course leads in the Trust’s Integrated Professional Doctorate programme to develop creative and innovative approaches to teaching up to 30 integrated doctorate students per year.


The courses have a lively and engaged student group (currently 25 national and international students) in a stimulating learning community supported by enthusiastic and experienced course staff.


The post holder will work with the Course Lead of the Tavistock Masters in Consulting and Leading in organisations and faculty from Tavistock Consulting to develop the Tavistock pathway for professional development for organisational consultants.


The Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust consists of the Tavistock Clinic, the Portman Clinic as well as Tavistock Consulting, which offers training and consultancy to organisations across public and commercial sectors.


The Trust is a National Health Service post-graduate training institution in the field of mental health and provides multi-disciplinary therapeutic services for adults, adolescents and children and their families. The Trust is also a resource for consultation to professionals in other centres and in the community, within both the public and voluntary sectors, covering health, social services and education.
