The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of building maintenance, engineering infrastructure, systems and equipment. This will include the guidance and support to Estates Assistants to ensure Statutory and Mandatory compliance.
The post holder will be accountable to the Head of Estates, for areas of responsibility including Mechanical & Electrical, Fire and Intruder Alarm, Access Control, Gas System, Parking Facilities, Lighting and Emergency Lighting, HVAC Systems, Roofing and Drainage, minor structural project, Decoration and Cosmetic work, Office moves & changes, Lifting equipment Regulations, Asbestos, Legionella, water Systems, Low Voltage, High Voltage. There will be an ongoing clear focus upon balancing the planned maintenance activities with the responsive repairs service. The post holder will deputise for the Head of Estates.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
