The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a prominent mental health Trust which combines patient services, research and consultancy with a national remit for delivering mental health-related education and training. Our team in Informatics is small and multi-skilled, and is tasked with providing a first class, professional service to the Trust and its staff. This position will play a major role in ensuring we can meet that expectation and will offer the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to learn and develop in a forward thinking, leading edge Trust. 

The post holder will lead in developing and maintaining the Data warehouse, and support information analysis function for information collated in the Trust data warehouse. They will lead on providing operational support and development of the reporting function and also on the development of comprehensive reports to support performance and contract management as well as to support clinical research. 

Ideally you will have at least two years of experience in system development or similar role, preferably within the NHS. Proven experience with T-SQL, SQL 2008/2014, SQL Reporting Services, Power BI. 

You will need to be a team player with well developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable at working with staff at all levels throughout the organisation. So, if you are a self-motivated team player with proven skills, a good work ethic and a desire to develop in an expanding role then this vacancy will be of interest to you.


As part of interview we would also give you a very short test of SQL to evaluate your suitability.
