Specialist Clinical Psychologist/ Counselling Psychologist / Systemic Family Therapist/ Social Worker / Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist / Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Gender Identity Development Service for Children and Adolescents (GIDS) is looking for creative and thoughtful clinicians to join us in our work supporting young people who are exploring their gender identity. GIDS has two main centres in London and Leeds, with regional teams in Bristol and Birmingham and an outreach clinic in Exeter.

We currently have vacancies based in Leeds. We are a close knit, highly supportive multi-disciplinary team who enjoy working together on this key area for children and adolescents.  We have a dedicated research team which provides many opportunities to engage with and conduct research within the service. Please see the job description for a detailed understanding of the role and responsibilities.

We offer a thorough induction, ongoing support and training forums including regular supervision and CPD sessions, clinical case discussion groups and reflective practice.  We are working hard to improve our engagement with all members of the team. 

GIDS is currently going through a period of transformation, which makes this an ideal time to join for someone who wants to contribute to service development and help to share our future as a world-leading specialist service.
