The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health trust with a focus on training and education alongside a full range of mental health services and psychological therapies for children and their families, young people and adults.

We are seeking to recruit a new non-executive director to join our Board of Directors. This vacancy has arisen following another non-executive director standing down from their position. For this post we would particularly like to attract applications from people from commercial project financial backgrounds, ideally with experience of estates or property management. An essential criteria is that the candidate must be a qualified accountant.

We are keen to recruit candidates who have either senior or board level experience and will be able to demonstrate the qualities necessary to help take the Trust forward and to promote the interests of our service users and students.

We are also keen to encourage applicants from black, asian and minority ethnic backgrounds and women.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
